The PlayStation 5 version of the PlayStation Store will have a feature people have wanted for quite some time. Essentially, you’ll be able to better keep taps on things you want to buy. Push Square confirmed with a pre-launch unit that there will be a PlayStation Store wishlist option available and even shared a screenshot showing it in action. [Thanks, Push Square!]
Since the early PS5 units haven’t been in the hands of people for too long, all of the potential effects of the new PlayStation Store wishlist feature haven’t been discovered. Push Square noted product pages for both games and add-ons will include the Wishlist option. Once you add one, you should be able to more quickly jump to things you once and get announcements.
This only applies to the PS5 PlayStation Store for the moment. If someone visits it on a PlayStation 4, there is no such option, and the web-based storefront also doesn’t. Only options to “add to cart” exist. While a wishlist function wasn’t present on consoles, it did appear on the PlayStation Store on, say, a mobile device.
The PlayStation 5 will launch on November 12, 2020 in Australia, Japan, North America and South Korea and on November 19, 2020 in the rest of the world.
