As you might expect from the title, the game seems to be focused upon delving into Master Xehanort’s past, including why he became “the seeker of darkness”. However, not much else has been revealed beyond this.

Square Enix is holding a ‘Guess the Name’ campaign, where interested players can try guess the full name of the game. To participate, one must follow the game’s Twitter account,  and add in a guess with the hashtag #KHNameContest. The campaign ends on January 28th, 2020 at 6:59PM PT, and the 10 closest winners will win. Only one entry is allowed per day, and accounts found to guess more than one a day will be disqualified.

Apart from Project Xehanort, Square Enix has also announced the latest update for Kingdom Hearts Union X. The latest story update will bring players to the world of Wreck-It Ralph with the Sugar Rush Disney World.

Project Xehanort is in development for iOS, Android, and Amazon devices. The game’s official site can be found here. The game will launch in Spring 2020.
