Project X Zone Recreates Resonance Of Fate’s Opening Scene As A Special Attack

Resonance of Fate from Sega and tri-Ace starts out with a dramatic scene where Subject #20 checks her pocket watch and leaps off a clock tower. As she’s plummeting, Zephyr swings from a rope and catches her… but the rope breaks during his rescue attempt.

Namco Bandai used this scene in Project X Zone as the base for a special attack called Midnight’s Chime. Since Subject #20 isn’t in the game, Zephyr swoops in to save Leanne. Both Sega characters are playable in Project X Zone.

The game also has Frank West from Dead Rising and Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers, two Capcom characters with bottomless pockets filled with items, working together. They can do combos like Item Throw & Anki Hou and Face Crasher & Chireitou (pictured below).

Gods Eater Burst characters Soma and Alisa are in the game too.
