Project X Zone 2 Adds Shenmue’s Ryo And Tales Of Vespiria’s Estelle

Korean screenshots of Project X Zone 2 have revealed an expanded cast for Bandai Namco’s strategic JRPG. The Nintendo 3DS game has been confirmed to have additional characters from Shenmue, Tales of Vespiria, and Capcom Fighting Evolution.

project x zone estelleEstellise Sidos Heurassein, more commonly referred to Estelle, is the Tales of Vespiria heroine who barely appears in the second Korean Project X Zone 2 screenshot. She can be seen on the bottom left, below Morrigan and next to Alisa Illinichina Amiella from God Eater. Estelle is a princess and warrior capable of using healing magic, and she travels with Yuri Lowell in her original game.

 

Ryo Hazuki, star of Shenmue, appears on the menu screen, between Space Channel 5’s Ulala and Darkstalkers’ Morrigan. For the last two installments in his original series, Ryo has been searching for Lan Di to get revenge for the man murdering his father and stealing the Dragon Mirror the Hazuki family had sword to protect.

project x zone ingrid Finally, there’s Ingrid, a character who first appeared in Capcom Fighting Evolution, then later in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max. She has supernatural abilities, similar to Street Fighter’s Rose, and in the game uses Psycho Power to attack enemies and even teleport into the future. She appears in the bottom row, below Strider and Hotsuma and next to Resident Evil’s Leon.

Project X Zone 2 is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on November 12, and will be released in North America on February 16, 2016 and Europe on February 19, 2016.
