The original game shipped over 17 million copies worldwide since launching for the Nintendo DS in November 2008. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future will follow Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and Professor Layton and the Curious Village as the next “HD for Mobile” entry from the series.

Similar to the previous HD smartphone releases, the game will feature your favorite puzzles in HD for the first time. The story of the third entry starts when Layton receives a mysterious letter from his assistant Luke. However, this letter comes from a “Future Luke” about 10 years in the future. Present-day Professor Layton and Luke must set off to the location mentioned in the letter to embark on what might be their biggest mystery ever.
