The preview video is around a minute and a half long. It doesn’t look like they’re using a dummy mic. While Illya’s voice sounds close to your right ear, Miyu’s sounds like it’s coming from the back of your head. A dummy mic would make it possible for her voice to emanate from the left. Since this is a voice drama, there is technically a plot. You’re trapped in a room where they have to clean your ears in a little sister way. So they’re taking turns doing so, with your head resting in their laps.

Mai Kadowaki and Kaori Nazuka will reprise their roles as Illya and Miyu, respectively. Previous roles that Kadowaki portrayed other than Illya include Yaoyao in Genshin Impact, Emil in NieR, and Rubia in Tales of the Tempest. As for Nazuka, her other roles include Nunnally from Code Geass, Tsubaki from Soul Eater, and Uta from One Piece Film: Red.

The full Prisma Illya ASMR: Great Prisma Ear-Cleaning Incident voice drama will come out on Mimicle on September 29, 2023. The latest movie in the series is Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht – The Nameless Girl, which debuted in Japan in August 2021.
