Atlus posted a new video for Metaphor: ReFantazio introducing the Prince’s Curse. The Prince’s Curse is a part of the story that will affect the player’s journey as they explore Euchronia.
According to the video, someone attacked and placed the spell on the prince, causing what looks like dark vines to protrude from his chest. It’s such powerful magic that even people who normally can’t see it are able to perceive those vines. At the time of the attack, sages within the palace tried to dispel the curse on the prince. But the curse was very complicated and they were unable to do so. This prince is the childhood friend of the main protagonist and this curse is the inciting incident that causes the protagonist to go on a journey.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is an upcoming fantasy game from the creators of Persona 3, 4, and 5. It’ll feature some familiar elements to people who played those games, such as a schedule system and a relationship system. Granted, other RPGs also have these sorts of mechanics in place. Metaphor: ReFantazio will come out on October 11, 2024 for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. More information on the story and the lore will appear every day on the Atlus YouTube channel.
