Prince of Persia Remake Skipping Ubisoft Forward at E3 2021

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake won’t show up at the Ubisoft Forward presentation during E3 2021. The team noted on Twitter it is “not ready to share any additional information just yet.” The update on it also noted again that it will debut in 2022.

Here’s the full update. It didn’t offer any concrete explanations for why it won’t be there, beyond saying the team isn’t ready.

Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have shown us in the past year.

As you might have already read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet. We will share an update as soon as we are ready.

Until then, we wanted to express our appreciation for your continuous support, as well as your patience with us on our journey. We’re looking forward to the moment when we will be able to share more with you.

The game first technically appeared via retail leaks back in August 2020. Then, Ubisoft itself leaked it with an accidental Uplay art upload in September 2020. The official announcement came shortly after and suggested the game would be out in January 2021. It’s since been delayed and doesn’t have a set release date.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will debut in 2022.
