Sega opened up pre-registrations for the PC version of 404 Game Re:Set. You’ll be able to pre-register from DMM Games and you’ll be able to link your mobile account as well. So if you’ve already started to play the game on mobile and want to move to PC in the future, you won’t lose any of the progress you’ve made or characters you’ve collected. [Thanks, Gamer!]
Another benefit to playing on the DMM Games server is that Sega will hand out 20 pulls’ of gems to PC players. So there are benefits for mobile players who did not plan to move to the PC version. In order to pre-register, you will need to have a DMM account. There is no release window as of yet for the PC version.
404 Game Re:Set has Yoko Taro (Drakengard, NieR) at the helm as the writer. The story of the game centers around purifying corrupted retro Sega games, who all appear as anime girls. Games that you can get in the gacha include Crazy Taxi, The House of the Dead, and Virtua Racing. It is quite popular in Japan, reaching a million downloads about a week after it came out. However, there is still no news as of yet in regards to an international or localized release.
404 Game Re:Set is available on mobile devices in Japan. There’s no release window just yet for the PC version. We don’t know when or if it could appear worldwide as well.
