Pre-Orders May Open for Pokemon TCG 25 Anniversary Golden Box

In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Pokemon, The Pokemon Company will release a limited golden box of the Pokemon card game. It is only available via raffle, but the raffles closed on October 10, 2021. However, depending on how many people put their names into the lottery, the company is preparing to take orders as well. The box will come out on October 22, 2021 for ¥17,600 (~$157) [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

As mentioned earlier, not everyone will be able to purchase the Pokemon TCG 25th Anniversary Golden Box, as the company sold it by raffle. But due to the high demand, there is a very high chance that The Pokemon Company will allow people to put in their orders in 2022. In this case, pre-orders will open after Spring 2022, and the box will ship out after Winter 2022. It will most likely be made-to-order, which means the company will only produce as many boxes as orders received.

The actual cards inside of the box are all holo cards. It will also have a gold Poke Ball and gold Pikachu V card inside. Additionally, all of the play mats, dice, and condition markers will have a gold covering on them. So far, we know that four of the cards will be a Pikachu of some kind. There is the gold Pikachu V, a normal Pikachu V, Pikachu V Max, and Pikachu.

The 25th Anniversary Golden Box for the Pokemon TCG will come out on October 22, 2021. Orders may open in Spring 2022 and, in that case, the box will ship out in Winter 2022. In other Pokemon TCG news, Pokemon TCG Online recently shut down to make room for Pokemon TCG Live.
