Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra moon released worldwide on November 17 and the game has sold over 1.2 million copies in Japan alone according to Famitsu’s own sales tracker.

The 1.2 million comes from software sales of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, not including digital sales.

Furthermore, the Nintendo 3DS consoles (New 3DS, New 3DS LL, 2DS, New 2DS LL) sold 40,582 units during the week of its release (November 13 through November 19) an increase from the 18,687 units sold the week prior.

We can expect to see Japanese sales for the game continue growing as we head into Christmas and the new year.

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon are available for Nintendo 3DS.
