The Pokémon Company announced a demo event for Japan called the “Secret Early Trial” where select fans will get to be the first to try out Pokémon Sword & Shield in Japan.
The demo will put players up against the Water-Type expert Gym Leader Nessa as part of a Pokémon Gym challenge. It’ll allow players to try out the new Dynamax feature from the Galar region, too.
Those who wish to attend will have to register for a chance through the Pokémon Secret Club by August 22, 2019 at 7:59pm JST.
For those of you wondering what Pokémon Secret Club is, it’s a limited-time fan club that is only available for those who’ve pre-ordered Pokémon Sword or Shield in Japan.
The Secret Early Trial takes place on September 21, 2019 from 10:00am to 5:00pm PT. Up to 280 winners will be selected.
Pokémon Sword and Shield releases for the Nintendo Switch on November 15, 2019. Check our previous report for a big recap of the latest announcements.
