It’s not hard to see that, even in their first month since release, Pokémon Sun & Moon have made a huge impact on the Pokémon franchise as a whole. In fact, the NPD report from November confirmed that the two games had the best launch in the franchise’s history. [Thanks, GamesBeat.]

Sun & Moon beat out Pokémon Black & White by 8 percent more units, even though the two latest titles were on the market 19 fewer days. Nintendo also confirmed that the games sold the fastest out of all the games in the series.

Additionally, the sales of Pokémon Sun & Moon also helped the sales of the Nintendo 3DS. NPD analyst Sam Naji explained that the “unit sales of 3DS hardware grew 59 percent versus November a year ago, the sixth straight month of year-on-year growth.”

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are available for the Nintendo 3DS.
