Pokémon Sun & Moon released on November 18, and Famitsu reports that the game has already sold 1,905,000 copies in Japan in just three days, making it the 2nd best-selling title in the series after Pokémon X & Y.

The figure of 1,905,000 doesn’t include digital copies, but it places Pokémon Sun & Moon in 2nd place for best debuts in Pokémon history, with Pokémon X & Y maintaining the top spot with its best debut of 2,096,000 in Japan.

Famitsu also adds that the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon has helped the 3DS family of consoles hit 113,987 units sold since its release in the week of November 14 through November 20, a huge bump from the estimated 29,981 3DS sales the week prior.

Pokémon Sun & Moon is available for Nintendo 3DS. The wait will finally be over in Europe when it releases on November 23, 2016.
