Pokémon U.S. National Championships Kicks Off Next Week

Next week, the 2013 Pokémon U.S. National Championships will be conducted from July 5th – July 7th at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The event consists of two competitions—the Trading Card Game Championships and the Video Game Championships.

 

The 2013 Pokémon TCG U.S. National Championships will begin Friday, July 5th, at 9:00 am, while the Pokémon Video Game U.S. National Championships will begin on Saturday, July 6th, at 9:00 am.

 

In celebration of the Pokémon U.S. National Championships, attendees that bring their Nintendo DS or 3DS systems along with a copy of Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 will be able to receive a Metagross based on the one used by the 2012 Pokémon World Champion, Ray Rizzo. Other prizes can be earned through various events at the Championships as well.

Champions and other top finishers in the National TCG and National Video Game championships will earn travel awards and invitations to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships. These will take place from August 9th – 11th in Vancouver, Canada.
