The Pokemon Company delayed episode 5 of the Pokemon Sword and Shield anime miniseries, Pokemon: Twilight Wings, due to COVID-19. [Thanks, Game Watch.]

Due to the ongoing spread of the novel coronavirus, the fifth episode of Pokemon: Twilight Wings will go live on June 5, 2020 at 2:00pm JST. While it didn’t have a specific date, Episode 5 was originally expected to debut sometime in May 2020. The company shared an apology to everyone who was looking forward to the episode and ask for your understanding.

Pokemon: Twilight Wings will feature a total of seven episodes, all set in the Galar region of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Each episode focuses on secondary characters from the game.

In episode 1, we got to see an original character named John and moments with Leon and Chairman Rose. Episode 2 featured a story with the Fighting-type gym leader, Bea, who goes out to train in the Wild Area after a defeat. Episode 3 was all about Hop and his buddy Wooloo. Lastly, the most recent one from last month was Episode 4, featuring the Water-type gym leader Nessa.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, there’s currently a Gigantamax Pikachu in the latest raids along with Gigantamax Meowth and Eevee.
