The Pokemon Company released a new trailer for Pokemon Sword & Shield‘s Expansion Pass that gives us a closer look at what’s coming.
The trailer is currently only available in Japanese. It starts out with a look at the first part of the Expansion Pass in The Isle of Armor, where we’ll get to experience the dojo life. This is a completely new area that basically has its own Wild Area and Pokemon that we don’t encounter in the base game. The trailer gives us a look at some of the dojo battles as well as the new Gigantamax forms for Venusaur and Blastoise.
We also get to see more of Kubfu, a new Legendary Pokemon that plays a big role in The Isle of Armor. Here, you’ll take on the role of an apprentice under your new mentor, Mustard, who was once a Champion and also Leon’s mentor. He entrusts you with Kubfu who evolves into Urshifu.
We also get a look at Part 2: The Crown Tundra and its own Legendary Pokemon Calyrex. We still don’t know too much about part 2 of the Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass, but for now, we’re definitely looking forward to all the Legendary Pokemon that we see in the trailer.
The trailer reveals that The Isle of Armor will release in Japan on the evening of June 17, 2020.
