Pokemon Scarlet, Violet Will Have Three Guidebooks

The Paldea region will be a grand place to explore, it seems, as The Pokemon Company revealed that three guidebooks for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will come out between November 2022 and February 2023. This is likely because the volume of new information in Scarlet and Violet would be too overwhelming for a single book. It is unknown at this point if these guidebooks will appear in English.

The first guidebook will come out on November 18, 2022, which is when the games will debut as well. It briefly touches on the three different story paths, but focuses more on the various areas in Paldea. You would use this book if you want to get all of the treasure on the field, and acts as a beginner’s guide of sorts to help players with the basic mechanics. It will cost 1000 JPY.

The second one will come out on December 16, 2022. This one is more of a story walkthrough. It will also include development notes on the characters, similar to an art book. As well, the story walkthrough guidebook will come with a serial code that will grant players 100 Potions. It will cost 1540 JPY.

Finally, the last book to come out will appear in bookstores from February 2, 2023. This one is a Pokemon handbook for the Paldea region. Like previous handbooks, it will include their stats, images, and movesets. It will also have information that will be useful in raising them or learning how to use them effectively in battle. The Pokemon handbook will come with a serial code for 100 EXP Candies (S). It will cost 1760 JPY.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will come out for the Nintendo Switch from November 18, 2022. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet guidebooks will be available in both physical and online storefronts.
