Pokemon Scarlet Violet Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Tera Raid Returns

The Pokemon Company announced the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Tera Raid battles will return in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Starting on May 1, 2023 players will have two weeks to challenge these Paradox Pokemon in battle. Successfully completing these Tera Raid battles will reward players with these Pokemon. Additionally, a patch will arrive on April 20, 2023 that will fix an issue with players who received bad eggs from the previous Walking Wake and Iron Leaves raid battles. More information about the update will appear in the future.

Previous Tera Battle raids featured Pokemon such as Blissey and Typhlosion. These battles provide players with a handful of rewards, including Tera Shards, and the occasional opportunity to obtain the Pokemon appearing as part of the event. For example, the Typhlosion raid allowed for people to capture the Pokemon Silver and Gold starter through the event itself. Other starters players could obtain were the standard versions of the three from Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Tera Raid battles are similar to the raid battles found in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Several players can challenge a specific Pokemon to obtain Tera Shards and capture the Pokemon in question. however, these battles have a unique gimmick that will test even the hardiest of teams.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch, and the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Tera Raid re-runs will begin on May 1, 2023.
