Pokemon Legends Arceus Pokedex Discussed in Gameplay Video

There’s yet another Pokemon Legends Arceus video in the wild. Like many of the others, it focuses on gameplay. Namely, it spends over 13 minutes looking a various elements. One of the more interesting parts has to do with your mission. In Pokemon Legends Arceus players are creating the first Pokedex for the Hisui region. The trailer goes over exactly how that works.

That portion of the video begins at the 3:40 mark. It zeroes in on building the Hisuian Pokedex in Pokemon Legends Arceus. You report to Professor Laventon. Each time you head out and take research tasks, you’ll build up data. It will look at things like total Pokemon caught, different Pokemon species caught, Pokemon caught for the first time, and Pokemon caught using a back strike. If you watch them use a move, that helps fill that out.

After reporting in, Laventon will look at the updated Pokemon Legends Arceus Pokedex. It will show details about the Pokemon like its name, type, nickname, weight, height, variations by gender, and research level. It will also include things not mentioned in past Pokedexes. For example, it will list the character’s preferred foods and the items it might often carry. As a reward for your efforts, the page fills out more and you earn money.

Here’s the Pokemon Legends Arceus gameplay preview.

Pokemon Legends Arceus will come to the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. People who pre-order a digital copy will also get some Heavy Balls they can use to catch Pokemon in-game.
