The votes are in. We now know what the Pokemon GO Community Day characters will end up being for September and October 2020. It was a case of the most popular critters would win, and it was pretty much a landslide. According to Niantic, folks will see lots of Pokemon GO Porygon and Charmander capturing opportunities in the future.
Here’s how it worked out. Earlier in August 2020, Niantic announced it would have people choose the next two characters, with Caterpie, Charmander, Grimer, and Porygon as potential options. Folks would take to Twitter to determine the next two Community Day stars for Pokemon GO.
As you can see from the final tallies, Caterpie and Grimer didn’t stand a chance. Porygon nailed it with 55.3% of the vote, while Charmander stole second to earn its second Community Day appearance with 36.6% of the vote.
Trainers, it’s time to cast your vote!
The two Pokémon with the most votes will be the featured Pokémon for our next two Community Day events! #PokemonGOCommunityDay

It wasn’t exactly confirmed as to which character will appear each month. But, I think we could safely assume the Pokemon GO Porygon presence will increase in September 2020, thanks to it winning the poll and its image showing up first in the announcement tweet. Which would mean Charmander, after taking second place, would be the October 2020 Community Day star.
Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
