The Pokemon GO party hat Wurmple has been an icon since January 2018. That’s when the opening loading screen had Pikachu, Torchic, and Wurmple front-and-center to celebrate the new year. Of the three, Wurmple was the only one in a comically oversized hat. Now, people will be able to bring this Wurmple in an hat too big for its head home.

Wurmple isn’t the only Pokemon GO party hat-wearing character during this event. Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu will all have hats on again. (As usual, you’ll have to watch the Pichu from an egg to get one.) You’ll also be able to see both Raticates and Wobbuffets in their most festive apparel. To get all of the alternate versions of characters, you’ll have to catch Pokemon, defeat them in Raids, or hatch them from eggs.

As for this Pokemon GO Adventure Sync Hatchathon, there are some special bonuses and quests that will be in effect once it kicks off later today. If you hatch an egg, you will get twice as much Candy and Stardust. There will also be an Adventure Sync reward that will give people Rare Candies, Stardust, and one Unova Stone you can use to evolve Lampent, Panpour, Pansage, or Pansear.

Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
