There’s bad news for people who were waiting for the Pokemon GO Lugia raid week and other events. Niantic announced, via its official site, that it has been canceled due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. However, in response to the spread of the illness, the company confirmed people can expect more 1 PokeCoin weekly bundles and accommodations so people can play while remaining at home.
The Pokemon GO Lugia raid week isn’t the only event that has been canceled. Niantic confirmed that the upcoming March 2020 raid hour has also been canceled. It noted that updates will come regarding these and future events, but the reveal confirmed these weren’t simple postponements.
As for the other Pokemon GO adjustments, the changes announced on Twitter will allow you to make the most of staying at home or occasionally taking brief walks to PokeStops or gyms. Every week, there will be a different 1 PokeCoin bundles. Two are currently available. One gives people 100 Poke Balls, while the other gives people 30 Incenses. These will both leave the store on March 30, 2020. People will also be able to hold 20 gifts at a time and open up to 30 gifts per day. Finally, the first time you catch a Pokemon each day, you’ll get three times as much experience and Stardust as usual.
Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. There is no new date for the Pokemon GO Lugia raid’s return. Previously, Niantic delayed the March 2020 Community Day and upcoming Safari Zone events.
