Pokemon GO Global Research Challenge Gets An Ultra Bonus Event

In 2018, Niantic revealed the Professor Willow Global Research Challenge. People would have special tasks to complete in Pokémon GO, giving them more reason to explore the world, looking for Pokémon. Now, the Global Research Challenge is coming to a close with a September 2018 Ultra Bonus Event.

A full schedule of Pokémon GO Ultra Bonus Event activities was revealed by Niantic. Some of the bonuses will carry on throughout the month. For example, the 7km eggs will have the normally region-exclusive Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros in them in September 2018. Kanto Region Pokémon will also be in Raid Battles more often until September 30, 2018.

Other Pokémon GO Ultra Bonus Event opportunities are more fleeting. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in Raid Battles from September 13-20, 2018. These Raid Battle occurrences could have standard or shiny versions of these legendaries. From September 20 until October 23, 2018, Mewtwo will be in Raid Battles. This will mark his first non-EX Raid Battle appearance.
