It took quite some time, but Kotobukiya finally is taking orders for its Pokemon Gloria ArtFX J figure. It was announced back in June 2020, and now the 1/8 scale character has a June 2021 launch date. She will cost ¥9,800 (~$94), though the US Pokemon Center doesn’t have a listing for her yet.
Pokemon character designer Hitoshi Ariga created the concept art for this Gloria figure, which is accompanied by a sobbing Sobble. She’s about 8”, while her starter is 2”. The two appear on a Poke Ball-shaped base, though the Sobble stands in a pool of its own tears. She’s wearing the outfit players begin with at the start of a Pokemon Sword and Shield adventure.
To also help show this latest Pokemon figure off, Kotobukiya shared a Gloria video.
Gloria’s gotten quite a bit of attention lately. For example, she was added to Pokemon Masters EX back in November 2020. Good Smile Company is also working on a figma of her, which will appear in June 2021.
This is the second Pokemon figure to show up in 2021 so far. The first was one of N, from Pokemon Black and White. He’s accompanied by a Zorua.
Kotobukiya’s ArtFX J Pokemon Gloria figure will be available in June 2021.
