The Pokémon Bank cloud service and accompanying app was supposed to be released today, but owners of Nintendo devices have been experiencing trouble creating Nintendo Network IDs and accessing the Nintendo eShop, due to high traffic, and so they have been delayed to an unspecified date.

“We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience,” Nintendo write on their support page.

Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter are a service and app that allow players to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Black/White and Black/White 2 into Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Additionally, you can also upload your Pokémon to online servers, and import them into future Pokémon RPGs going forward.
