Visual novel makers Minato Soft have had a few of their titles ported to console, but they’ll be making their first console game with Kurogane Kaikitan for PlayStation Vita.
The game is part of their new console games brand “Minato Station,” according to this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. (Thanks, Game Jouhou.)
The story of Kurogane Kaikitan tells the story of the protagonist Masamune Shirogane, who attends an academy that trains a special police corps for anti-terrorist measures, while depicting the everyday life of taking on various police work.
The story is being written by Sakaki Kasa, and directed by Minato Soft’s Takahiro, who also worked on some episode scenarios for the Samurai Flamenco anime.
Mahaya, known for illustrating the characters for The Zashiki Warashi of Intellectual Village light novel will handle the character designs, and Chiyomaru Shikura, who worked on 5pb and Nitroplus’ Science Adventure series is the game’s composer.
The game features some sort of natural phenomenon superpowers that are used in combat, and will also have some sci-fi weapons and others going on. More details on Kurogane Kaikitan will be revealed in the near future.
Kurogane Kaikitan is slated for release in Japan on January 29, 2015 for PlayStation Vita.
