Sony might not be releasing first-party PlayStation Vita games anymore, but the company is keeping on top of its updates. PlayStation Vita firmware 3.73 is now available. This makes the fourth such update in 2019, with the first being 3.70 in January 2019.

Like 3.70, 3.71, and 3.72, PlayStation Vita firmware 3.73 is one of those general maintenance updates. While the US website hasn’t been updated with details just yet, others have. As usual for these last four updates, the only patch note is, “This system software update improves system performance.”

For people who have custom firmware, now is a good time to practice a wait and see approach. Official firmware releases can cause problems with homebrew.

PlayStation Vita firmware 3.73 is now available worldwide.
