Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Starter Kit includes the Wii Sports inspired Sports Champions, a PlayStation Eye, and a Move controller for $99. This bundle arrives in stores on September 19.
PlayStation Move won’t launch in Japan until October 21 and, in a rare move, it will cost less over there. New PlayStation 3 games typically retail for 6,980 yen ($78) to 8,190 yen ($91) in the Land of the Rising Sun. White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness, for example, is 6,980 ($78).
In Japan, the PlayStation Move Starter Kit is only 5,980 yen ($67). You still get a Motion Controller, PlayStation Eye, and a game for that price. The game is different, however. Japan gets Sing and Draw instead of Sports Champions.

A standalone controller costs less in Japan too. The suggested retail price in North America is $49. An extra motion controller goes for 3,980 yen ($44) in Japan.
