Shuhei Yoshida, former President of SIE Worldwide Studios and current head of PlayStation Indies has announced a new initiative for Sony via the PlayStation Blog. The PlayStation Indies Initiative’s goal will be to get more games from independent developers on the system. This will mean more support and attention in the long run, the addition of one indie game to PlayStation Now each month, and more game announcements in general.
When Yoshida made the announcement, he noted there would be nine new PlayStation Indies games announced soon, with three of them revealed on July 1, 2020. So far, one has been shown. It is the PlayStation China Hero Project title F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow. It will come to the PlayStation 4 and received a new trailer.
