At their PlayStation Meeting 2013, Sony announced their next PlayStation system—the PlayStation 4, which will use an architecture similar to that of PCs.

The PlayStation 4 will include an X86 CPU and 8GB of RAM. It will come with a new controller called the Dualshock 4 (above), which will come with a touch pad, a Share button, and a headphone jack.

The controller will also have a light bar that will allow a camera to recognize it and track its movements.
