Back in September 2018, it was revealed that Key’s Planetarian would be getting a worldwide Nintendo Switch release in Spring 2019. However, it will be arriving on the eShop sooner than anticipated. On January 31, 2019, people will be able to pick up the game. It will be $9.99, the same price as the PC version of the game.
In Planetarian, players follow a “junker,” someone who collects relics from past times in a futuristic and dilapidated world. This person comes upon a planetarium during their travels and meets a still functioning robot working within. This robot has one request, which the junker decides to fulfill. This is a kinetic visual novel, which means you will not make any choices and it only has one set ending.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will support multiple languages. In addition to English and Japanese, people will be able to choose from French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. It will also have 1280×720 resolution support, with the HD images taken from the PC HD release.
Planetarian is immediately available in English on PCs and Apple iOS devices.
