Pixel Ripped 1989 is a VR game about the joys of sneaking a little bit of time playing video games, having players help Nicola find a few stray moments in class, at home, outside, and anywhere she can to play through her favorite platformer.

In Pixel Ripped 1989, players will help Dot, the heroine of their favorite game series, through various iterations of her games across the years. Players will guide Dot through 8-bit platformers, pea-green Game Boy-like games, to colorful 3D worlds over the years, experiencing the evolution of games as they work through this one.

Players won’t just be playing through Dot’s experiences, though, as they will be controlling the game in the VR world of Nicola, a child just trying to find time to play her favorite game. Players will have to sneak plays during class, in the headmaster’s office once they’re in trouble, outside at recess, through hacking the TVs in her classroom, or through various realities as the game and world begin to blur due to the machinations of the Cyblin Master, a being who is breaking out of the game world into the real one.
