Nintendo’s various social media accounts have revealed a Pikmin 3 Switch port is on the way. Though, it is more than just Nintendo taking the Wii U game and putting it on its newest console. When it comes to the system on October 30, 2020 as Pikmin 3 Deluxe, it will feature all new content starring Olimar and Louie.

Here’s the Pikmin 3 Deluxe trailer.

The newly opened site confirmed some of the features only available in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Olimar and Louie have a prologue and epilogue in this version of the game. (These can be played alone or in co-op.) The campaign will have two-player local co-op. A Piklopedia encyclopedia with information on characters, allies, and enemies will gradually unlock new information as you play. There will also be new difficulty options and a hint system.

When the game debuted on the Wii U, it introduced a number of new features and cast members. Instead of following Olimar or his brother, Louie, we instead watched three new Koppaite captains, Alph, Brittany, and Charlie, try to survive on the strange planet PNF-404. It also marked the first appearance of pink winged Pikmin and grey rock Pikmin. A competitive multiplayer mode for two players, Bingo Battle, was also introduced.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2020. Pikmin 3 is immediately available for the Nintendo Wii U.
