Bandai Namco announced in this week’s issue of Jump that Pikkon will join Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in a free update coming Spring 2021. The update will be the twelfth major update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 since its launch in October 2016. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Pikkon made his first appearance in the Other World Tournament in the Dragon Ball Z anime. He was introduced in filler episodes of the show and also appeared in the Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn movie; however, the character never appeared in the original manga. He made numerous appearances as a playable character in past Dragon Ball games. The magazine leak didn’t include information on Pikkon’s abilities in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but he’ll likely have moves like his signature Thunder Flash Attack.
Other update 12 additions were mentioned too. The free update will also include Janemba as a CC Mascot. New costumes will include outfits of Goku’s parents, Bardock and Gine, based on their appearance in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie.
The previous update, Update 11, added the Supreme Kai of Time (Chronoa) as a new playable character in August 2020. It also added a new extra mission, new CC Minions, and eighty loading screen illustrations. The update included many customization options, techniques, and raid events, so we can expect more of that in Update 12.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2Â is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PCÂ via Steam. Update 12 will arrive in Spring 2021.
