Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Undergoing Extended Maintenance

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is undergoing extended maintenance ahead of release. Originally, Sega scheduled it for June 9, 2021 at 3am PT. However, the official Twitter account revealed that the extended maintenance will continue until 9am PDT. This information was posted to both the official Twitter account, and the official website for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.

An update regarding the extended period of maintenance was posted at 4am PT. The official website stated that another update will be given around 6am PT regarding the status. As of the most recent update through the official Twitter account, maintenance for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is scheduled to end at 9am PDT.

Sega recently released a benchmark tool where players can see how the game will run on their PCs. Additionally, this tool includes the character creator. It is still available to download. Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will also feature a player based marketplace, where players can exchange items for in-game currency. This marketplace will allow for players to search for goods based on the items name, and even by seller.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is scheduled to release on June 9, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in Japan. The Xbox One and PC will serve as global platforms for the MMORPG.
