A handful of DOLLS appeared during the broadcast. This includes the Bujin and Daityl Sword DOLLS. FORMERS and ALTERS were also shown off at the presentation, which provided a brief look at how these enemies will function. Additionally, these enemies will be included in the Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis closed beta test.

A Japanese closed beta test is currently underway. Applications for the closed beta test were extended until March 2021, with changes made to the closed beta to accommodate users with lower end PCs.

A player driven marketplace will be available in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. This feature will be implemented to prevent potential real money transactions among players. The marketplace feature will also allow players to search for items based on either the player’s name or the name of the item itself.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will release for the Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2021. More information about the Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis global closed beta test will be released at a later date.
