After a number of hints at an imminent English release, such as the Asian version including English subtitles and Amazon Canada listings, Atlus has officially revealed the Persona 5 Royal release date for the west. People will be able to pick it up on March 31, 2020. To go along with the information that had been hinted at repeatedly, a new trailer showing footage from the game has appeared. Most notably, it pays a lot of attention to Kasumi, the new heroine.
Kasumi’s portion of the Persona 5 Royal release date trailer happens about thirty-two seconds into it. We see her transform into a Phantom Thieves version of herself.
In addition to Kasumi, some other new elements are featured. We see Joker head to Kichijoji, the new location. Older characters’ new features get showcased. It all wraps up with another peek at Kasumi and the western release date.
Persona 5 Royal is immediately available on the PlayStation 4 in Japan. It will show up in Asia on February 20, 2020. It will appear on the PlayStation 4 in the west on March 31, 2020.
