Algernon Product has nuigurumi dolls inspired by the Persona series on the way. The Persona 5 Royal plush dolls of both Ren “Joker” Amamiya and Akechi Goro will debut in September 2021. Each one will cost ¥3,300 (~$30) and include the doll and some removable clothing. [Thanks, Persona Central!]
The Persona 5 Royal nuigurumi plush dolls of Joker and Goro will be posable. For example, the announcement art shows them posed standing, sitting, or walking. Each one also will have a coat that can be removed. If it is off, it will look like each character is in the shirt-sleeved outfit they would wear in the spring and summer in the game. If it is on, then they are in their fall and winter clothing. Both also will be over six and a half inches tall.
Here’s a better look at the concept art for them.
Algernon has multiple series covered in this line of toys. For example, plush dolls of all five of The Quintessential Quintuplets sisters will appear in July 2021. Shaman King figures will also debut in August 2021.
The Algernon Product Joker and Goro Persona 5 Royal plush dolls will launch in Japan in September 2021. Persona 5 Royal is available for the PlayStation 4. Other merchandise items include figures and illustrations.
