People who want to play a Persona 5 Royal English copy may want to consider the Asian version of the game. Now that product listings have gone live for the February 20, 2020 Asian releases, information about their language options have appeared. Most notably, the PlayStation Stores in multiple areas are referring to it as Persona 5 The Royal English/Chinese Ver. [Thanks, Persona Central!]
Three PlayStation Stores are showing these versions of Persona 5 Royal. You can find the listing in the storefronts for Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Taiwan. (Each one also offers a Morgana Car Sticker as a preorder incentive.)
These listings appear ahead of Atlus teasing a new Persona 5 Royal announcement for the west. Back at the end of November 2019, it noted an announcement would occur on December 3, 2019. Since it said it would “expose the truth of Persona 5 Royal,” it could have to do with a western release date.

Persona 5 Royal is immediately available on the PlayStation 4 in Japan. Its Asian version has had a February 20, 2020 release date since September 2019. It has a Spring 2020 release window for North America and Europe.
