Persona 5 The Animation: The Day Breakers Announced

Following the release date announcement of September 15 for Persona 5, Atlus announced that the game is getting an anime with Persona 5 The Animation: The Day Breakers.

While not much is known about it, it’ll tell a prologue story for the upcoming game, and will dive into a certain mission that the young Phantom Thieves took on.

A-1 Pictures will be handling the upcoming TV anime, and series director Katsura Hashino says that it’ll be its own original story that will be linked to “ a certain” sub-episode in the game. The original characters set to appear in the anime will also appear in the game.

More details will be revealed soon on the upcoming anime. It’ll air on X day of September 2016, just before the release of the game.
