Atlus released a new Persona 3 Reload trailer, and it introduces the Strega characters. Leader Takaya, Jun, and Chidori are a dangerous group of rogue Persona users that intend to stop the SEES from investigating Tartarus and put an end to The Dark Hour. Additionally, a new gameplay mechanic called Theurgia tied to each character’s personality was shown. Shift is a mechanic similar to Batton Pass in the original Persona 5. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Strega are a mysterious trio of characters that antagonize the SEES throughout Persona 3 Reload. Takaya is an unpredictable man that carries a gun everywhere with him. Meanwhile, Jun and Chidori are more calm and collected than Takaya, but share his same anger and hatred for the world around them.

During combat, the Theurgia gauge is located next to each character portrait, and it builds up as characters perform attacks on enemies, or use recovery and support skills. Theurgia moves and details can be accessed during combat by pressing the right trigger (or L2 on PlayStation controllers).
During the trailer, Junpei is seen using his Theurgia skill. Junpei and his Persona Hermes charge against the enemy, with Junpei finishing the enemy off with a heavy strike of his sword. Other character Theurgia skills haven’t been shown yet.
Persona 3 Reload will come out on February 2, 2024 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows PC via Steam. A playable demo for P3R will be available at TGS 2023 at the Atlus booth.
