Patch 7.15 FFXIV Screenshots Appear Ahead of Its Release Date

The Patch 7.15 release date is drawing closer for Final Fantasy XIV, and now the FFXIV official special site updated to share more screenshots of the new additions in the 7.1 series. These latest images offer more hints about what to expect when the new content arrives on December 17, 2024. It also offers a peek at the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) content we’ll see in the second part of the update, which is expected to appear on December 24, 2024.

Here are all six of the new FFXIV screenshots from 7.15. In the case of the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic), the two images show the equipment sets and mount you can earn from challenging it. Two “Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures” screenshots highlight what to expect from new moments during the questline. The Custom Deliveries – Nitowikwe equipment rewards are highlighted too. Finally, the last one offers another look at the Wachumeqimeqi Quests.

It is incredibly common for Square Enix to gradually release new FFXIV screenshots for patches in this fashion. Back in November 2024, a batch appeared to go over the general 7.1 update.

Patch 7.15 is the last one coming to FFXIV in 2024. After that, we’ll need to wait until January 21, 2025 for the next update. That will be 7.16. Square Enix already teased what we can expect from that update. There will be more Role Quests in our future.

In the meantime, there are other updates to keep in mind. There are four new Tales Under the New Moon stories based on FFXIV.  The first was “Whispers from the Dark,” which showed up at the beginning of December 2024. The third one will show up on December 13, 2024, followed by the last in this series of four on December 20, 2024.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the release date for patch 7.15 is December 17, 2024.
