Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming baseball game Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020, which also revealed that the game will release on September 17, 2020. The game was originally announced via the Japanese Nintendo Direct Mini back in March 2020.
Check out the trailer below:
Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 is the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s (previously Namco’s) long-running series of baseball games, which dates all the way back to the Famicom. While the games feature Japanese teams, there is also always a Namco team with a roster that includes classic Namco characters. This time, they are taking the spotlight in a new Story Mode. The story has the team training to take on a race of baseball-loving aliens, and features characters like Pac (Pac-Man), Pino, Wonder Momo, Wagan, and Gilgamesh as main players. The mode seems to be quite robust, as it will have an overworld to talk to other team members and upgrade equipment. Another highlight of the game is the inclusion of 43 players from Japan’s Women’s Baseball League.
The game is playable for up to four players offline via Joy-Cons, and it also supports online play against other players. The game will cost 6,680 yen (plus tax) in Japan.
Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 will release on Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2020.
