Over 8,000 Genshin Impact Players Decided to Walk to Inazuma

MiHoYo used to regularly release Teyvat Times updates that shared data collected on various feats players completed in Genshin Impact. On March 29, 2022, it decided to bring the newsletter back. Its first entry went over details about the Serenitea Pot and its furnishings, unorthodox ways to get to Inazuma, and drawing fortunes at the Grand Narukami Shrine. Most notably, it revealed that 8,793 Genshin Impact players ended up deciding to walk from Liyue Harbor to Inazuma City, rather than teleport or take a boat.

When talking about the accomplishment, miHoYo clarified how these people managed the feat. It noted that the Genshin Impact players who made the walk to Inazuma did so after getting there via Beidou’s boat. This is because otherwise, the Raiden Shogun’s thunderstorm barrier could electrocute people attempting unorthodox travel methods.

The announcement also offered details about sneaking into Inazuma in Genshin Impact in February and March 2022. In February 2022, 45,961 people tried to sneak in. Of those, it noted 31,399 failed. 17,998 were electrocuted and 13,401 drowned. In March 2022, 12,420 people drowned trying to swim to Inazuma so far.

As for the Genshin Impact Serenitea Pot details, they involved details about furnishings, layouts, and dogs. When people pop into it for the first time, they can pick Cool Isle, Emerald Peak, or Floating Abode as a realm layout. (Silken Courtyard needs to be unlocked.) 45.7% is the most popular option, as most players picked it. In general, most realms have at least two dogs in them. The data revealed over five million furnishings are made every day in-game.

Finally, the newsletter ended with details about the Grand Narukami Shrine. When someone visits, they can get a Bamboo Slip every day and give it to Ringo for a fortune and perhaps free item. MiHoYo said about 164,511 people visit each day. Of that number, about 41,000 would get Great Fortune and about 10,000 would get Great Misfortune.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch. The 2.6 update will arrive on March 30, 2022 and add Ayato.
