Corpse Party, the 2008 remake of the 1996 RPG Maker horror adventure game, has released on Steam, letting players return to the bloody halls of Heavenly Host Elementary.
Mayu Suzumoto is transferring to a new high school, and to help her cope with leaving all of her friends behind, her friend Ayumi finds a charm on the internet to bind them and her other pals together as friends to the end. The “Sachiko Ever After” charm does not go as planned, leaving the group of friends separated and endangered in the ruins of an alternate reality version of tragedy-stricken Heavenly Host Elementary.
This edition features over 5000 spoken lines of dialogue from the original indie cast of the game, as well as the original character artwork. Its story is told over five chapters that differ from the PSP and future 3DS releases, and will also contain four bonus chapters. One of these is the PC-exclusive ‘Tooth’ story from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, recreated in the original Corpse Party’s style.
