Namco Bandai’s upcoming multiplayer action game, One Piece Unlimited World: Red, recently got a new trailer, along with a look at some spiffy-looking 3DS XL Bundles that will be available when the game launches this November. This week, 4Gamer gives us a look at some skills Luffy and friends will be dishing out on their adventures..
One Piece Unlimited World: Red will feature all nine Straw Hat pirates as playable characters, all in their forms after the two-year time skip. You can check out our earlier report for play-style details on the said characters.
Here’s a look at the Straw Hat pirates who’ll be part of the adventure:
Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Sanji
Tony Tony Chopper, Usopp, and Nami
Nico Robin, Franky, and Brook
In One Piece Unlimited World: Red, you’ll get to play with up to four player who can, fight and play cooperative together, similar to Monster Hunter and its ilk. Luffy and the others will be going wild with plenty of abilities they’ve shown in the New World, such as the “Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk” and more.
The new Dragon-type monsters that appeared in the Punk Hazard arc will also be appearing as tough enemies in the upcoming game. Cooperation will be key to taking these big dragons down, so teaming up with your buddies will come in handy for the fight.
The characters all have their own unique abilities. Usopp’s sniping skills will allow him to attack from long range.
Franky will be using his gadgets, such as the powerful cannon shown above.
While Chopper will be the group’s healer, putting his skills in medicine to use.
Depending on who you have in the party, the play-style will vary, but each and every character will have their own ways of contributing to the fight.
Similar to the Monster Hunter series, you’ll get to go fishing and hunting for bugs. By gathering more material, you’ll be able to use them to create weapons, compound medicine, and cook food.
First-print copies of the game will include a download code for Luffy’s costume from One Piece Film: Strong World, along with an additional quest featuring Portgas D. Ace as a playable character. The additional quest will be a game-original mission that takes place at Marineford, which can be played with up to two players.
One Piece Unlimited World: Red sets sail on November 21st for Nintendo 3DS.
