The latest One Piece movie keeps breaking records at a rapid pace, after grossing over 7 billion yen in a little over a week after its initial release. Back in October, we reported that One Piece Film: Red made over 16 billion yen total, coinciding with the promotion of its overseas release in November 4, 2022. As of the time of writing, the gross revenue of One Piece Film: Red has exceeded 19 billion yen, approximately $143.68 million.
To celebrate One Piece Film: Red’s massive record, Eiichiro Oda drew a special piece of art depicting Zoro and Sanji butting heads, over text describing the achievement. You can watch the complete illustration in the following tweet.

Currently, One Piece Film: Red has broken into the top ten of the all-time box office rankings in Japan. The movie is number 9, sitting under Howl’s Moving Castle, and dethroning Bayside Shakedown 2, the all-time highest-grossing Japanese live-action movie, to number 10. The “film” subtitle indicates a particular subseries of One Piece movies in which creator, Eiichiro Oda, had a more direct involvement in the creation and production of the movie.
