Kirby’s Pinball Land sort of lives on in Kirby Mass Attack. HAL Laboratory’s upcoming Nintendo DS game has pinball as one of the mini-games. There’s a shooting game inside it too. Players can unlock mini-games by collecting medals hidden in Mass Attack’s stages.

The game’s core is a mix of action and real time strategy. Players can control up to ten Kirbys using the stylus and the touch screen in Kirby Mass Attack. You don’t start out with ten Kirbys, though. Players have to eat fruit to create more Kirbys. You’ll need to amass a certain number of Kirbys to defeat some enemies and pass certain points in the game.
Kirby Mass Attack comes out in Japan on August 4. North America gets the game a month later on September 19.
