Japan has a date with Chibiterasu sometime this year, but what about the rest of the world? Capcom hasn’t said if they will publish Okamiden, an Okami sequel for the Nintendo DS, outside of Japan or not.
However, it appears Capcom has plans on localizing Okamiden since they just trademarked ÅŒkamiden (complete with the line over the o) in Europe. Unlike other publishers, when Capcom files a trademark for something in the West they tend to use it. It just takes time for Capcom to announce the title. A brief history lesson:
Ace Attorney Investigations trademark discovered on March 24, 2009, confirmed on April 28.
Sengoku Basara outed on August 12. Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes announced on September 23.
See? Anyway, Okamiden always seemed like it has a good chance of being localized since Capcom USA green lighted the Wii version.
